Gilvan Sampaio



Gilvan received his PhD and MSc in Meteorology from the National Institute for Space Research INPE, and he holds a BS in Meteorology from the University of São Paulo. He is currently researcher at the Group of Biosphere-Atmosphere Interactions, Division of Natural Systems at the Center for Earth System Science (CCST) at INPE, where he researches the impact of changes in land use and global warming at the local, regional and global climate using general circulation models of the atmosphere, Earth system models and dynamic models of vegetation. 


Has experience in Geosciences with an emphasis in meteorology, acting on the following topics: Biosphere-Atmosphere Interactions, Climate Modelling, Climate Forecasting, Studies of Climatic Phenomena, Studies Climate, and Climate Change.
