    Ricardo Pinto da Rocha

    Ricardo Pinto da Rocha graduated from the Universidade Federal do Paraná (1991) in Biological Sciences, obtained his PhD in Zoology (1997), and his current position (2001) at the Instituto de Biociências, Universidade de São Paulo (USP) where he is presently Full Professor in the Department of Zoology, teaching both graduate and undergraduate courses.

     

    His field experience includes expeditions throughout Brazilian and most South American humid ecosystems. His main interests are systematic arachnology, biogeography, and evolution of Neotropical harvestmen and scorpions. He has more than 100 papers and book chapters on the subject.
