Silvio Hiruma

Silvio Hiruma is a Scientific Researcher at the Geological Institute – Environmental Secretariat of the State of Sao Paulo, Brazil, since 1993. He graduated from Institute of Geosciences - University of São Paulo (1991) in Geology, MSc in Sedimentary Geology (1999), and a PhD in Geochemistry and Geotectonics (2007) from the same institution. His main research interests include Geomorphology, Neotectonics, Fission Track Thermochronology, Geoprocessing and Karst Geomorphology. Silvio also has field experience in the summits of southeastern Brazil (Campos do Jordao and Bocaina plateaus) and  the karst region of the Ribeira do Iguape River Valley.
